Winterim: Where New Interests Take Root

One Week, A World of Discovery

Winterim is our week-long, non-traditional learning experience, designed to teach subjects that normally wouldn't appear in a high school classroom.

During the first week of January, students choose a specialized course developed by teachers who are experienced in or passionate about that subject, giving them the chance to discover new interests, build practical skills, and learn topics with real-world application, all while incorporating teamwork, mentorship, and leadership into every course.

SLHS also hosts guest speakers throughout the week to address the student body on leadership topics rooted in Christian values.
